NEW STATUE OF BLESSED JOHN PAUL
A new statue of the newly beatified Pope John Paul II was unveiled at Rome's Termini Station recently. I personally think it is ghastly. Your comments in the com box would be appreciated.
It will be controversial...but children would love to hide in under his fatherly cape, and his face does show his pain at the heat and burden of the day he bore.
It is at least - different; and it does stir one to think about him and not just look on passively as one does at a million other more or less lifelike statues that are, nonetheless, statues.

de gustibus et coloribus non est disputandum
In my opinion, you have far better taste than the people who endorsed this statue.
