Easter Triduum

In union with the rest of the Catholic world we began our Easter Triduum with the Evening Mass of the Lord's Supper. The pictures in this post show the incensation of the Blessed Sacrament before the procession to the Altar of Repose.
I would like to thank those who have worked so hard over the last few days in preparing the Altar of Repose. I am sure you will agree the results are wonderful and it contributed to a very prayerful atmosphere in the church throughout the Watching.

I came across the tradition of the Tomb for Our Lord in my last parish. It is a Polish custom. The tomb of the Lord froms the Altar of Repsoe on Holy Thursday. On Good Friday the COnsecrated Host is placed in the tomb and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament follows. On Holy Saturdaay the figure of the Crucified is cover over, the Tabernacle is removed and the Altar of repose becomes the Easter Garden.

Hope this answers your quirey and sorry for the late reply.
